My research interests lie at the intersection of smart environments and cyber-physical systems (CPS), particularly in building software and architectural support for enabling large-scale analytics on pervasive sensing devices. My research has enabled ubiquitous devices to expand their role and innovate new services, ranging from large-scale video analytics to pedestrian safety. I am also interested in using wearable sensors for enabling low-cost scalable monitoring of health parameters.

My primary interest includes multi-model data association, reinforcement learning, graph neural network and deep learning. Currently, I am working on the human data association from various modalities problem.

Prior to my PhD journey, I obtained my master degree in the University of Colorado Boulder where I worked on Body Language for Robots project that uses intuitive body gestures to navigate indoor robots.

During my spare time I love photography.

John Murzaku

I am a first year Computer Science Ph.D. student in PiCASSo Lab. My current research interests are in wearables, fitness monitoring, and health data science. Before Stony Brook, I went to Seton Hall University in NJ where I majored in math and did research in bioinformatics and vehicular networks. In my free time, I enjoy lifting, running 10k's, and photography.

I am a first-year CS Ph.D. student at Stony Brook University.  I work at the intersection of Ubiquitous Sensing and Wearable Systems. I received my Bachelor's in Instrumentation and Control. Currently, I am exploring a novel HCI system based on the unvoiced articulation of words.

I have previously worked with Dr. Nipun Batra as a Research fellow at IIT, Gandhinagar on ubiquitous lung health monitoring. In 2018, along with  Dr. Aakanksha Chowdhery, I developed AirCognizer an android application for estimating Air Quality Index via smartphone camera images.
